Would you buy a Nissan Leaf?
I lice in Southern California. I currently have a 2010 Chrysler 300. Gas and car payments total almost $800 per month. My finical situation has recently changed, so I am looking at trading it in to maybe get a Nissan Leaf.
My apartment complex just recently installed FREE charging stations, so not only would my car payment be cheaper, but I would spend absolutely nothing on fuel. My total savings would be about $350 per month.
My daily commute is less than 10 miles on average. But, about once or twice a month I drive 200 miles or more. The Leaf only has a 100 mile range at best (realistically, about 75 miles). I can find solutions for my 200+ mile destinations (i.e. trains or friends).
In any case, do you think it is worth it? Is it a "cool" car? Or, will I get funny looks driving on the road?
